ORA-12162: TNS:net service name is incorrectly specified

When I try to connect as sysdba getting below error.


SQL> CONN / AS SYSDBA

ERROR: ORA-12162: TNS:net service name is incorrectly specified
*****************************************************************************


Set the environment variables.



Solution:

 $ORACLE_HOME=/ora/oracle/test
 $ export ORACLE_HOME

 $ ORACLE_SID=oratest
 $ export ORACLE_SID
